About Daniel Speck and ComingOne.com Home
This website and its articles are authored personally by Daniel Speck. They are not presented on behalf of any particular church, ministry, or group nor are the teachings of any particular organization reflected in these articles. Daniel received Jesus Christ through faith as his Savior and was born again in 1970. These articles may not be error free, and they may be subject to small corrections from time to time, but I believe the major conclusions here are biblical, doctrinally sound and conform to Christ, the Gospel and the Word of God. Examine the Scriptures yourself and see if these things are so. Any sincere comments and criticisms, as well as typo or factual corrections are welcome.
The purpose of this publication is to:
1. Preach Jesus Christ and Him crucified
2. Pursue a deeper understanding of the Word of God
3. Help build up the Church in sound doctrine and practice
4. Express the Spiritual gift that the Lord has graciously given me
5. Challenge any doctrine that cannot be clearly supported by Scripture
6. Help prepare the way of the Lord for His coming on the clouds of heaven
7. Help warn and prepare the elect for the test that is coming upon the whole world
Where I stand on basic beliefs:
Christ Centered (The Lord Jesus Christ is the message, goal and power of the Faith)
The absolute truth, accuracy, and authority of the Holy Scriptures
Evangelical (faith alone in Christ alone for salvation and righteousness)
Jesus Christ and Him crucified (the only true Gospel to be preached to the unsaved)
The New Birth (baptism of the Holy Spirit at the moment of conversion)
Eternal Security (irrevocably saved and eternally sealed)
Pre-
7th Trumpet Rapture (only Rapture and Second Coming doctrine clearly stated in Scripture) Support of the Jews and Israel (All Biblical prophecies about the restoration and redemption of the nation of Israel will be fulfilled)
Popular teachings rejected as unbiblical and harmful:
Philosophy and Religion (any belief that denies truth and salvation in none but Jesus Christ)
Liberalism (denying the Scriptures are literally true, moral relativism, Darwinism, Socialism)
Preterism (Revelation has been fulfilled, Replacement Theology, no Rapture or Millennium)
Legalism (denying faith alone can save, salvation can be lost, righteousness through works)
Pentecostalism (subsequent Holy Spirit baptism, false prophets, sign seekers, money lovers)
Prophetic/Apostolic (extra-
Darbyism (Pre-
Sects and Cults (only true Church heresy, legalism, authoritarian, extra-
Requirement for Salvation
The single requirement for salvation is faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as the Son of God and Savior who was crucified for our sins and raised from the dead, which immediately results in a new birth through the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Absolutely nothing we can ever do or not do can further or hinder the eternal life, imputed righteousness and assurance of salvation received as a free gift at that moment of simple faith in Jesus. There is only one Gospel: Salvation by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and anyone who preaches a another gospel is accursed.
Authority, Doctrine, and Teaching
All teachings of doctrine, practice, and prophecy are to come exclusively from the written Word of God. No system of theology or church dogma, however popular or consummate, should be used as a filter through which the written Word of God is understood and applied.
Correct understanding of the Holy Scriptures (exegesis) must be by a literal interpretation of the text, understood within the context of the whole of Scripture. Miraculous or extraordinary descriptions are understood as symbolic only when it is clear they cannot be anything else, otherwise they must be taken in their most literal sense. The deeper prophetic meanings of historic Biblical events must be understood in agreement with the history, covenants, doctrines and explicit prophecies of the whole of Scripture.
Revelation 22:18-
All modern claimants to any office of prophet, apostle, authority or to any special revelation, anointing, exclusive teachings, or secret knowledge are soundly rejected as unbiblical and heretical.
The counsel of the Holy Spirit and His Spiritual gifts are acknowledged and indeed
necessary to arrive at an accurate understanding of the prophetic Word. You must
be born-
The scholarship and contributions to sound doctrine defense and prophetic discernment of the many gifted saints down through the centuries are gratefully acknowledged.
No disagreement with any ministry on a specific teaching should automatically be considered a condemnation of that ministry, unless the fundamental doctrines of Biblical Evangelicalism are denied.
I welcome the fellowship of all born-
